Been collecting for a few years now, still not sure how to play

TheForsakenCornflake says:

You should also mention all the steps of a turn, the simplification is relevant for beginners yes but you should’ve mentioned it so new players doesn’t get confused when someone mentions “upkeep” etc. (Edit: just fixed misspellings)

Wizards must be pumping dollars into Geek & Sundry.  And a free deck?  What the hell?  I want a free deck. I haven’t played in over a year or so.  Forgot how painful it was to teach someone the game.

Yuchen Zhou says:

Keeps a five land hand, draw gas for four turns straight.
God is dead, there is no justice.

Alexandre Boutaud Valarini says:

For the record, that is the appropriate reaction to getting a Nicol Bolas.

Jean Marais says:

Happy to see some sensible marketing by WoC regarding MTG. I discovered it 2 years ago at the age of 36 and it is the best game i have ever played.

Great video! I think it would be cool to watch Hector and Gina play more magic it would be cool to see them grow in the game. It could be a cool series.

John Shoemaker says:

Takes me way back to the first time I played mtg..on a prerelease alpha deck. We had 4 player games with just 50 cards. Everyone drew from the same deck…we shuffled the discard pile after running out .. when someone died their mana went into the discard pile. After we could buy cards we played multiplayer.with full base decks(no booster yet). One guy bought a palate of legends and held them for 6 months.. he sold them and bought a house.

They needed day [9]!

TheForsakenCornflake says:

4:45 you’ve made a mistake. The Exile zone can also be manipulated. You should instead just mention that there exist cards that manipulate them etc.

Lukos0036 says:

I have a black/blue rat deck I’m fond of. Might not be the most effective but rats are cheap to summon and I have a lot of them. I can out number white and goblin decks. O_o

Jesse Lamoni says:

I gotta say, with a show like Spellslingers, this seems like it would have been better suited there, i.e. learn by playing. Probably just me though.

Jarrik73 says:

Just have to point out something, Ixalan was not the core set before M19. That designation goes to Dominaria.

Carol McKenzie says:

Just started becoming interested in Magic: The Gathering (spelled out as per someone commenting previously, and with punctuation) and was happy to see this in my feed. As much as I like this, I could do with a little less silliness and chit-chat and a little more focus on the cards. It wasn’t until like 18:00 that I started wanting to pay attention.

And I miss Sean.

superluke1 says:

I love this. Only one compliant, I could never see the creature power and toughness because of your logos on the video.
